Eulia was born in Minsk, Republic of Belarus and came to the United States in 1989.  She began her training at the age of 5 with ice dancing followed by jazz and modern dance.

Eulia has studied ballet for the past 20 years and added competitive ballroom dancing to her repertoire 11 years ago.

After winning numerous dance competitions Eulia has retired form her competitive dance career and is currently a full-time professional ballroom coach and adjudicator.  She continues to perform professional shows with her dance partner Steve Dougherty.  Her goal and passion is to help others to develop and reach their highest potential in their dancing.

Steven has been a ballroom dancer since the age of 13.  He has studied and competed as both an amateur and professional ballroom dancer.

Prior to pursuing a full time career as a professional ballroom dance competitor, teacher, and choreographer, Steven worked for IBM as a programmer and systems engineer.  He left IBM in 1992. Steven is the co-owner of the Metropolitan Dance Center, a ballroom dance studio in Stamford Connecticut.
